Always With Me

There is no way I would still be alive if it wasn’t for some form of grace and care watching over me. Always.
I have a guardian angel…just like all of us do, or perhaps many. They have been my unseen companions, guiding through chaos.
So many times I could have died. Safety first has never been my motto. Live deeply, wildly, passionately. Take chances. Take risks. Get messy. Make mistakes. Don’t hold back.
That has made for an extraordinary life…full of thrills and near-misses…but I’m sure my angels have worked overtime to ensure I still have a pulse. They’ve pulled me from edges, softened blows, whispered warnings in recklessness.
This painting acknowledges that: I have had an angel watching over me the whole time. The figure sits in serene inner peace, wings folded around her form, perched on a rocky outcrop flowing into fiery waves of orange, gold, crimson. Eyes closed in knowing, face tilted toward inner light, hands resting in gratitude.
She represents constant presence: grace in human form, vulnerable yet powerful, earthly yet divine. Her light dress flies in the wind, embodying innocence reclaimed when we recognize we’re never alone. Her wings are not for flight to get away from life’s mess…but embrace me and lift me through it.
This is a to angels who saved me and others … not preventing risks, but ensuring I live to tell the tales. Passion and protection coexist. Wildness and wisdom hand in hand.
In a life of no holding back, they are my steady hold.
Always with me.
