Love That Grows Deeper and Higher

There is a vast difference between loving and loving with your entire body and being.
So many people choose to love from a distance, one foot out the door.
This painting is the meditation on the quality of love my body and being were made for.
I am not building a fire in a distant hearth.
I am a man who walks eternally in the sacred blaze.
And my partner will be the one who sees me not as a spark, but as the whole radiant sun and decides to orbit with me in mutual, glorious incineration of everything that is not love.
This path is not ahead of me.
It is beneath my feet, made of the same fire I am learning to breathe.
Love without juice and fire might still be love, but for a man like me it is a torture chamber.
I know the difference between distance and no distance. I know how painful distance is!
This painting is me being unequivocal. Unambiguous. Blunt.
Anything less than total, embodied, unabashed wanting… does not feel like love.
It feels like being held at arm’s length.
It feels like being pushed away.
This painting is the visual explosion of that truth: hearts floating in fiery water and starry sky, glowing, submerged, alive with color and movement. No separation. No holding back. Just love that grows deeper into the roots and higher into the heavens at the same time …the kind that consumes everything false and leaves only what is good, true and real.
This is the love I am walking toward.
This is the love I am becoming.
